Liudhard Medalet Reproduction Coin Earrings

Sterling Silver earrings with hand struck brass reproduction coins.

This is a reproduction of the coin used to make the Liudhard Medalet.

The coin, although probably made to be worn as a token is certainly one of the earliest struck coins of the Anglo Saxon era and the Medalet is believed to be the earliest surviving Anglo Saxon coin.

It is thought to have been made around 600AD in Canterbury.
